“…for me, drawing has always been a primary way of encountering reality.” —Milton Glaser
Drawing is not only the act of physically making marks on paper, it is also a cycle that draws itself in a series of infinite absorption and synthesis. Using this technique of drawing, I explore various components of network, as related to machines, technology, social interaction, temporal reflection, language and location. As a result of my engagement with psychological and sociological systems, I create a series of cognitive descents, uncovering the transparency that exists behind opaque impressions of reality. As objects, people, places, and/or ideas work together to activate an event or occurrence, I bring overlooked intricacies of a particular network to the surface, shifting perception of everyday experience.
